The former Pfanni energy center will soon be renovated and converted. In future, you can expect sports activities and a neighborhood café here.
Where coal was once used for heating and process steam was produced for Pfanni, an intergenerational experience center for Werksviertel will soon be created. The conversion and refurbishment will reflect the industrial character of the building. The historic façade of the main building is to be repaired and partially renewed. The new uses will be seamlessly integrated into the existing building. A large sports area and a cozy neighborhood café are planned. The café will provide a low-threshold offer for everyone and will further strengthen the social infrastructure and loyalty of the people in Werksviertel. With WERK5, a new urban oasis is being created in our neighborhood, which will one day be located in the middle of the planned central park of Werksviertel.
Incidentally, during the interim use of the area by Kunstpark Ost and Kultfabrik, WERK5 was home to legendary clubs such as Natraj Temple.
