Middle America Festival on September 14
We cordially invite you to the Central America Festival at the Container Collective. Our lively, free festival in the neighborhood that honors the national holiday of Central America.
¡bienvenidos! and welcome to the central america festival
Organized by the Eventfabrik and with the active support of the Consulate of the Republic of Guatemala and the Central American Association of Munich, you can expect a varied programme with live music, dance, interactive workshops, art, trade stands and culinary specialities.
A special highlight at the opening of the event is the spiritual cocoa ceremony and the closing ceremony with fire and candles, both led by a shaman from Guatemala, which offer a profound cultural experience.
There are exciting things for our younger guests to discover: In a child-friendly talk, they will learn how chocolate is made from a cocoa bean. They can pick up a bean themselves and, of course, try a piece of chocolate.
And if you feel like moving, the dance workshops with Elito and Ale are just right for you: with salsa, reggaetón, merengue, bachata, Latin and dembow, they bring the rhythms of Central America directly to you.
We look forward to seeing you there and to a day full of cultural diversity, community and fun.
