This is something very special: there has never been an award in this form in the German-speaking world before. “I am more than proud that we, as the Werksviertel-Mitte Foundation, are awarding this prize for the first time together with DOK.fest München. We, the neighborhood and the foundation, want to give the topic of inclusion more visibility. The prize is a good incentive to do this,” says Isabell Zacharias, Managing Director of the Werksviertel-Mitte Foundation.
Now it’s your turn: together with the foundation and DOK.fest, we cordially invite you to submit your films. The award honors inclusive documentary film productions in which filmmakers with disabilities play a leading role. The award, which is endowed with 5000 euros, recognizes the team effort and the inclusive approach in film production.
The deadline for submissions is February 3, 2025. Films with a minimum length of 52 minutes, completed after January 1, 2024, are eligible. The award is open internationally.
