Punch Needle Workshop

In this workshop, you’ll learn the punch needle technique and create your own piece of textile art. Punch needle—also known as needle punching—is a modern embroidery technique in which yarn or wool is punched through a tightly woven fabric (such as monk cloth) using a special hollow needle. This creates textured patterns and designs with a unique structure.

We’ll start with a practice session on monk’s cloth in an embroidery hoop so you can try out the technique at your own pace. Afterward, you’ll choose your own design: either on a pillowcase in neutral colors or on a piece of monk’s cloth. A wide selection of yarns and wool will be available to you. You can draw inspiration from our templates or create your own design—we’ll help you choose and bring your idea to life. At the end, your piece will be secured with fabric adhesive, which needs to dry overnight. You’ll receive a box for safe transport so you can take your project home right away.
