WERK1
The former Pfanni administration building in WERK1 (from 1955 to 1996) was used as a start-up center until 2024. The building is currently being renovated and will later be used primarily to supplement the district's social infrastructure.
In WERK1, the former Pfanni administration building, start-ups worked on innovative future solutions and new products for the tech industry from 2013-2024. In 2023, WERK1.4 was opened next to WERK1, which is now home to the start-up community in Werksviertel-Mitte in the truest sense of the word. WERK1 is currently being renovated. In future, further apartments are to be built here and the social infrastructure, for example with childcare facilities, is to be strengthened.
