WERK1.4
The start-up center in Werksviertel-Mitte with subsidized offices for start-ups, co-working spaces and a co-living area for start-up employees.
From 2013 to 2024, Pfanni’s former WERK1 was home to the digital start-up scene and the blueprint for the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Gründerland Bayern initiative. For a certain period of time, young tech companies are not only provided with affordable office space, but also supported in their development through networking and community offers. In summer 2023, WERK1.4 was built next door, an upgrade of the start-up center with modern offices, co-working spaces and, as a special highlight, a co-living area. This will make it easier for employees of start-ups to settle in Munich and cushion the challenges of the housing market.
With WERK1.4, WERK1 not only gained even more office and co-working space, but also the first co-living area with 63 small apartments in which founders or tenants can live for up to six months.
