On January 19, the music theater “SommernachtsBaum.” The New World Orchestra together with Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch deals with the topic of forests in the play and combines classical music and sustainability as well as science and culture.
Scaling heights in the Heavens Gate climbing and bouldering hall
What used to be the old potato flake silos of the former Pfanni factory has been the Heavens Gate climbing and bouldering hall since 1998. Here you can climb up to 30 meters high and let off steam on the bouldering areas. The perfect sporting activity if you want to get active in winter.
Experience worlds of sound: Ben Miller’s immersive installation in the whiteBOX
The art festival “Out Of The Box” will enchant you from January 11 to February 2 2025 at 13 unique locations in Bavaria. Under the title “The Resonance of Time”, over 40 exciting events await you: concerts, exhibitions, workshops and interactive installations.
This also includes the sound installation “The Reservoir of Sounds” in our neighborhood in the whiteBOX, the Werksviertel-Mitte Kunst. The 360-degree immersive audio environment can be visited and experienced for two festival weeks from January 16 to 30. Here, the personal memories from the “Body of Memories”, electronic sounds, live performances and recordings of the concerts taking place throughout Bavaria will merge into a constantly growing, daily changing cosmos of sound and music. This ever-changing remix is compiled by sound artist Ben Miller.
